Our RYA Advanced Powerboat course is designed for experienced powerboat drivers looking to refine their skills and operate safely and confidently in more challenging conditions. The course teaches boat handling, seamanship, pilotage and navigation up to the standards required to drive a planing powerboat safely by day and night in tidal coastal waters.

The course runs over 2 days. A 3 day option is also available for those who want more time to master the advanced skills; this means practically conducting search patterns for lost MOBs, towing something, and not just covering these topics in theory.

I can get this course cheaper elsewhere - why does this cost more than some other courses?

We use high spec equipment, our trainers are all Advanced Powerboat Instructors and we pay a good wage for the industry to reflect their skillset. Cutting course costs will inevitably lead to cutting corners elsewhere, and we believe in high quality equipment and training quality.
